A new bug to watch out for....
Starting in 10.8.5, Fresco Logic USB 3.0 controllers eject external hard disks on sleep. It also happens with Marvell 88SE9230 raid controllers like the Rocketraid 640L.
Be sure to eject your drives before your system sleeps. Hopefully this is a driver issue and not Apple's encouragement for us to upgrade to the latest hardware.
Searching the net, hackintosh folks started seeing this behavior in 10.8.5 with the Fresco Logic and wake from sleep issue. It was tracked down to a change in AppleUSBXHCI.kext, unfortunately, it has no effect on a real mac. Reverting back to a 10.8.4 version of the kext, the problem still exists and it bring back the dreaded wake from sleep issue.
Anyone else seeing the issue?
