Was trying to update my retina MacBook Pro 15" to 10.8.5 today. It's currently stuck at the "installing" progress bar, and has been for at least 10 hours. It says "2 minutes left". What can I do to minimize the damage? Is turning it off my only alternative?

FWIW, this just happened to me as well on my 11" MBA. After an hour of "2 minutes left" I forced the machine down. (Hold power button). Booted the computer again (still in 10.8.4) and downloaded the combo update. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1676
