Hey everyone
Really minor thing, But in 10.7 there was the option to have your photos set to collage (here is a link to a picture of the screen saver)

http://www.toddsmithphotography.com/images/wallpaper-tutorial/mac-os-10-5/screen-saver/collage.jpg

I really enjoyed this screen Saver but its been removed from 10.8, and replaced with ones similar.

Is there a way to get it back? I have a mac mini on 10.7, are there files I can copy over to my Macbook to get his option back? or is there a screen saver I can download from somewhere to get the same type of effect?

Like I said Minor.
Thanks

It's still there on my iMac 10.8.

- Preferences
- Screen Saver
- Snapshots
- Select Source

There in fact seems to be a few extra variations (that I don't recall seeing before) with:
- Photo Wall
- Vintage Prints
- Scrapbook

Yes, but...

Hi! I appreciated your answer to the question about the photo collage screensaver. I, too, really like that feature in the Mac OS and regret the changes they made with Mountain Lion. Not only are the pictures huge and slow to appear on screen (minor annoyances) but the screensaver will not access sub-folders in the selected folders. We keep our pictures in sub-folders so that we can find them when we want them. The previous version of the photo collage screensaver accessed all folders in the main folder. Wonder what made the powers that be think that this was a good change. If I missed some fine point in the screensaver program, I'd appreciate a heads up on how to get what I want. Thanks.

Solution found, but you have to do it in iPhoto, no duplicates!

I don't have any lag type issues with pictures loading in any of the screen savers, having tried them all now.

Take a look at my post here and you'll see a solution I came up with for nested folders of pictures yesterday. :)
