I just upgraded to the GM of mountain lion and now I am having some serious trouble connecting to my work VPN. I am able to connect without any issues however any programs that work through the VPN pipeline wont connect (i.e. Outlook, VNC, Parallels.) I didn't change any settings and I am quite confused since the connection looks good. Can anyone help?

you should contact your IT support team. If you are using viscosity, there is a beta version that work great with ML. Otherwise, you need to have those guys to help you out if it's a problem with their own software...unless you are using viscosity.

what is odd is that it always worked fine just using the built in network connection with lion...

Same here. My VPN clients (tried both tunnelblick and viscoscity) connect but no internet access.

Not my VPN provider as works fine now from my PC.

Using Open not PPTP here.

Still can't connect to my VPN using tunnelblick. Anyone found a solution yet?

If a user contacted me saying their unreleased OS was causing them remote access issues I'd probably hang the phone up on them.

Thanks for the useful input.

It's most likely true for many I.T. departments. I would do the same - though I would most likely revoke the laptop and reimage it since we don't allow end users to replace the OS.

I also am using ML on my personal laptop. The built in Cisco IPSEC VPN works great for me still. I don't have a VPN connection to test the other built in options though.

It is a tunnelblick issue.

Viscosity 1.4b11 works perfectly on ML.
