Does it bug anyone else that 10.9 is mathematically a far greater value than 10.11?

No because 11 > 9 this is version numbering not math.
Version numbers are not decimals.

It is Roman number 10 and branding OS X so it's X.9, X.10 and now X.11
To add to the confusion, just remember that 10.11 is actually the Twelfth (12th) major release of OS X.

Does it also bother you that there are 3 letters between O and S and that they didn't just make it OP X?

No.. To state the obvious.. OS means operating system.. OP X means absolutely nothing, therefore that doesn't bug me at all. OP X would bug me.

Well, i'm more bothered by Windows 10 who follow Windows 8.

I know. And that's why I call it OS X "insert name". I never call it 10.9/10.10/10.11. But it does irk me thinking about how 10.11 comes after 10.9. Lol I'm just being difficult.
