"10% Battery Left" not showing up?

I have a jailbroken iPhone 3G (3.1.2, used blackra1n for JB) and I'm having an issue. I have the battery meter enabled in SBSettings, and I noticed that when I get to 20%, the "20% battery remaining" warning shows up as normal, but as the battery continues to decrease, I never get the 10% warning and then eventually the phone just dies. I was just wondering what would cause this glitch (I know that prior to JB the warning always came up, but then again I could also never see my battery % either..).
