Is anyone using a 10 inch Muzetto with thier 11"MBA? I know it sticks out a little bit but is that a problem?

Thanks

I have both. I actually bought the Muzetto for my iPad but use it for the 11" MBA and I don't find the length a problem at all. It is such fine leather that it just folds right over fitting and looking very nice indeed!:) I purchased the suede sleeve just today from Waterfield and looking forward to having it protected inside the Muzetto soon.

I have both also. I put my MBA 11 in my Muzetto and thought this might work. In fact I was contemplating getting the ultra suede case for protection. I suspect I will be carrying both the iPad and the MBA in the Muzetto, when I travel. It looks like it will work. I'm sure I could sell my 10" bag and purchase the new 11" one, but I'm kinda used to this one.

Please let us know how the ultra suede case works out.
Thanks

Do you all really think you need several layers of protection? I find that most people are so possessive of their products that they don't enjoy them. In addition, when there's the tiniest of blemishes, they are seriously disappointed and overly distraught.

I just throw the MBA in a designer tote not even meant for a notebook. I make the common sense decision to always have a notepad or magazine against the lid of the MBA to ensure the top doesn't get damaged. I do nothing else, and I just don't worry about possible damage... and it doesn't get damaged. I just feel that people ruin their experience when they keep their MBA away from their skin. I don't want plastic or vinyl/tape in between the feel of the aluminum. I don't want the hassle of dealing with multiple layers of protection.

Life is too short to be worried about these things. Really, let go and enjoy. I believe most would appreciate their Macs much more if they quit worrying so much about their protection. Like a Buddhist principle... if we have something it leads us to suffering when we lose whatever it is. For some it's the ultimate perfection of a product that doesn't appear it has ever even been used.

Not that I want to tell people how to live their lives, but I just feel that people go overboard with products that aren't necessary and actually ruin the experience. The aluminum is meant to be seen and felt, and people are wasting a lot of precious time with all of these layers of protection. Time is finite, so why waste it?

Just enjoy your Mac!

PS. This message is not intended to offend or upset anyone. I am merely sharing my own philosophies with others just as an educational experience in how we all are different. I am not saying my theory or feelings are correct, but are rather the way I think and feel about life, time, products, and protection. If you feel different, that's great... we're all different, and I am not saying my way is best for everyone at all. Again, just sharing not intending to offend and deeply hurt others with my own feelings in dealing with the topic of this thread - protecting the MBA and the levels/layers of protecting it and Sharing the way we all take care of and deal with these products the thread is focusing on.

I've been doing the same thing for years and never had any problems.

If anything, I think the light weight of the MBA makes it less susceptible to damage vs. a heavier laptop.

First of all you did not offend me I completely understand your suggestion. However I plan to place my MBA and my iPad in the same compartment and they will scratch each other's backs, not good. Ergo the Waterfield extra lite sleeve. Just some minimal protection, no need to invite disfigurement.

Thanks

It fits ok in the ten inch Muzetto. They also have one made for the 11" Air now.
I guess it's just a little longer.

As far as marks on the laptops question. I am obsessive about it because of the resale value. These Macs get top dollar, and I hate selling anything that has issues. Giving full disclosure is a time consuming when you list , not to mention the mark down.

note: These laptops will ALWAYS get top dollar. They fetch better prices than any computer on Ebay, and they age well for resale.

P.S. I like Scottsdale's disclamer. I should make one myself :D
