If I spec out a "loaded" 11.6" MBA online, with the education discount, I get a price of $1329 ($70 off).

Today I bought one at the Apple Store in Richmond, VA, and they gave me a $100 discount.

This is for 11.6/4GB Ram/128GB Flashdrive/1.6Ghz

Not that I'm complaining... Anyone else get this or did I just get $30 of lucky?

Definitely lucky. I called around to several local Apple Stores before finally ordering my CTO 13" with 4GB online. Every single store didn't have the configuration to begin with, and all of them said that the discount on the 'ultimate' configuration was only $50 as opposed to the $70 online.

We must get a better students discount in the UK. My wife has bought me a basic 11.6" MBA in my daughters name and we got £130($200) off the price, still more expensive than yours though at $1100.

You got luck on your side my friend, I've been pricing them out for days and only get a $50 education discount off the unit and $10 off the 4GB RAM upgrade.

Nice. I actually lucked out as well when I bought my base 11.6" MBA from Best Buy. I asked if they matched the education discount and they said yes. Then they rang my MBA out for $899 plus tax :D Add in my Reward Zone gift certificates and I only had to come out $810 plus tax. Made the decision to sell the iPad 64GB in exchange for the MBA a whole lot easier...

I asked in the Apple store when I bought mine how much would be the discount for university student, that is 14% on MBA.

However I am aware that college student have lower discount, but I can tell you how much is it.

Perhaps those had two type of discount applied?

Maybe that's a BF deal for the education discount and they offered it since BF is next week?
