Since it's my first post on this forum, if this is considered inapropriate please some mod delete this.

I put together this list of iPhone games: http://www.iphonegold.org/games

1. I would like some feedback on it.
2. I dont use Safari or an iPhone so if there are any code/interface errors can you please point them.
3. I want to make this list the largest resource for free iPhone games so if you know any good free web based games that are not in the list please reply here or PM me.
4. If you encounter any problem with any game in the list (only while using an iPhone) like: broken url, not free anymore, game errors and such, please report them here.

cool.....i'm looking forward to going to this website on my new iPod - and yes i said iPod.....my god i'm glad i can finally see what the touch interface is like on the iPhone (i live in Australia)

Thanks for the feedback!

From server stats i see alot of Safari users. How's the site working under Safari? Any bugs/interface problems?

Site works great! You have just lowered my daily productivity!

Is'nt it sad though, you have expected the phone to come with at leats 1 of these 100 games built in?

Nice collection. My only nitpicky comment would be there's no need to put the word iPhone in front of every game title, unless the author/host of the game uses it in their title. After all, it's an iPhone game site; we know they're iPhone games.

Looks great! Like the previous poster said, removing iPhone from all the game titles would be good. Also what'd be great is if there was a rating service out of five stars so users can rate what they think of games or give mini-reviews. That'd be awesome.

Also, I don't have an iPhone so I can't really say anything for sure, however, a version of the site with just a list of games that's formatted to the iPhone's screen would be an idea, that way people can just bookmark that one site and use it for all their gaming needs. I would do so if that was a feature and I had an iPhone.

I agree. I think the way you have it set up now encourages users to find their favorite games through your site, but then only bookmark the external sites and forget yours. If you set up an interface that people could quickly and easily access through their iPhones (where they'll be playing these games, obviously), it would be easier for users to just remember your site and access the others through that.

The page could be a little larger for iPhone users. It doesn't fill the entire width of the iPhone browser.

Is the list in order based by the number of clicks that week or month? That would be great.

Great feedback guys.

1. iPhone word will be dropped
2. I'll add a rating system
3. I'll create a iPhone version, designed for iPhone's screen. Probably then i'll need more feedback for testing since I don't have the device.

Do you think i should break the list into game categories (like board games, puzzles, arcade and such) or keep them on a long single page list?

Later edit: iPhone version will be just the list, navigation will be on top and after that the games.

My vote is for categories. Although a long list works okay now, it'd be a lot easier to sort 100 games now and just maintain those lists than to realize in 6 months that you have 1200 and suddenly a single page isn't user-friendly enough.

I vote for the "top 100" list by popularity, with the others in categories. That would make it a more valuable resource.

I'd say for the iPhone site, you'd want something a little like the facebook iPhone layout. Title at the top with search at the right, then tabs for different options such as "Top Ranked" "Most Played" "Categories" and maybe "User Favourites"

While I wouldn't expect you to get everything done in one go, a final target I would say would be personalised pages for people's iPhones (i.e. logins with cookies) where users can add their ratings for different games, add reviews if they so desire and have a tab (probably the first tab) where it'll always list their favourite games. If you do all this you could have a real winner on your hands. That's the kind of site I'd bookmark in a heartbeat if I had an iPhone.

Ok! a crude, rough version for the iPhone is available here:

http://www.iphonegold.org/igames

Can someone that browses using iPhone tell me:
1. it looks/works ok?
2. the buttons are big enogh to handle easely?
3. if i put a voting system, should that be a thumb up/thumb down in the right part of the screen or a 5 star rating under the descripton?
4. anything else that comes throug your mind
