1080p interface on ATV2?

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but...

I know the new 5.0 update doesn't magically give the ATV2 1080p video playback capability, but does the new UI at least display in 1080p, or is it still at 720p? Would be nice to gain at least some upgraded resolution for streaming photo slideshows.

720p ATV2 can't do 1080, it is a hardware limitation not a software one.
