1080p YouTube videos on M1 iMac

I use my computer for web browsing and watching streaming content. How do 1080p videos look on the M1 iMac screen? Does the uneven rendering 1080p resolution content affect the picture quality?

I'm currently watching videos on a 1080p screen. Would those same videos on the M1 iMac look worse?

It's not noticeably worse. The compression on YouTube causes more of an issue than the resolution mismatch.

I think they look better than on my Windows PC with a 1080P monitor. They don't look weird or anything. In full screen you can tell it's not 4k but it's not like you're going to be watching Lord of the Rings in 1080P on YouTube LOL
