Hey Folks,

Just want to know if anyone can recommend a good 10Gb ethernet adapter for the MacPro (5,1).

I've been debating on upgrading our network here including our data servers and internet speeds (to something over 1Gbs).

Something that's plug in play would be awesome.

I'm currently running Mojave

One option.

(Mac Pro 2010 - 2012 and macOS Mojave in the tech specs. )

Same 10GbE chip that Apple is using in the iMac Pro and Mini BTO option ( pretty sure there aren't any additional driver(s) here as they are tracking Apple's choices). NBaseT so could bump up to 5GbE without having to do new cable pulls if saddled with CAT5/53 cabling ( but still would need switch upgrade).

This is an older thread that started in 2016 but has 2019 updates toward the end. ( can skip to theend and read last pages first ). Before November 2017 ( intro of iMac Pro probably stop).
