Hey guys and gals,

I have a late 2015 Retina 27inch iMac
2GHz Quad-core i7
32GB RAM
Radeon M395X 4GB
Catalina 10.15.2

I don't remember this being the case before, but my RAM management seems to have been shot to hell. I've recently done a complete wipe (didn't restore from TM, did manual install) but when I reboot the computer, I'm down to 20GB RAM. This can't be normal, right? The screenshot is with no programs having launched.

Update:
Here is Pages taking up 224MB and Safari at 214MB but my Cache and App Memory are crazy high, yeah?

How many Safari tabs have you opened?

How many GB is WindowServer consuming?

I fail to see how that’s bad? You’ve got a bunch of RAM and the operating system uses it to make common operations run faster. Start something that actually needs RAM, and less important bits will be thrown out of memory.
