Hi

It seems like my mail accounts are not updating after the update to iOS 11.

As recommended by my web hotel host they are classified as others (so not google, iCloud etc) and imap.

Everything worked nice in iOS 10, but now updates only succeed randomly every 3 or 4 days. No new mails for several days and suddenly I have 5 new mails that apparently came in the last days. Haven’t changed any settings. Have tried to restart the phone several times.

The problem occurred in 11.0.0 and have been there since for all updates.

I have a few hotmail accounts as well. I don’t think there’s problems with these, but hard to proof as I don’t get many emails on these

Right now it says “updated Tuesday” (its Thursday evening here). If I pull down to update nothing happens.

I’ve had this too. A force quit or restart of the phone should fix it but it’s annoying. Hope this gets fixed in 11.1.

Seem to recall a thread re: "Automatically" setting for Fetch Schedule was giving people odd behavior. So, something to check. That or that your Fetch Schedule is not "Manual".

The mail app will also just freeze occasionally.

If I force quit it and open it again it works again (but will not necessarily update)

The mail app will also just freeze occasionally.

Might be on the provider's end? My mother sees this occasionally with her email provider (Cox: terrible ISP, imo; was one of the last providers to have IMAP) on her Mac: tries to shut the machine down and keeps coming back with message re: mail could not be terminated. Acts like it's stuck checking/downloading mail.

I noticed my mail not updating when push was turned on (push worked fine in iOS 10). I found if I set it to fetch and set the fetch interval to every 15 minutes it actually updates every 15 minutes. If push is turned on and fetch is set to 15 minutes it wouldn’t update for hours on end.

Waiting up to 15 minutes for an important email isn’t ideal for me but it’s better than potentially waiting hours. I hope this bug is fixed soon.
