Has anyone else noticed a difference in the response of the 11 inch and 13 inch Air's keyboards?

I was playing with both today and I found the 11's keys really lacking that satisfying 'snap' you get from the MBPro and Bluetooth keyboard, the 13 Air's seemed more like the MBPro keys.

It was pretty disappointing. I've been intent on getting an 11, but the keyboard felt pretty rank.

If there really is an issue with space in the 11" then its possible that only the new 13" will get the backlit one. Personally I have never noticed a difference when playing with store models. Did you try more than one 11"?

That could be true, absolutely. To be fair, I was only able to try the one model as the others were occupied, but it's something I'd never noticed before on any other recent Mac keyboard.

Might be worth waiting to see for the refresh I suppose, if the backlit keys end up only being available on the 13, I guess I'll just have to spring for that! The petiteness-factor of the 11 really is incredibly cool though.

Aren't all the keyboards the same (except for the entire top row on the Airs)?
That could be a potential deal breaker...I'm not looking to write stories on the thing though and the portability of the 11" seems AWESOME! I'll be checking it out too when they come out...But I already know I'm going to get a Moshi Keyboard/Wristguard/and (maybe) trackpad protector! (Depending if they respond as well as the regular trackpad)

I haven't noticed a difference between different Air models. I thought they were borderline uncomfortable to use because of the short keyboard travel. MBP's are significantly better in this respect, because the keyboard travel is longer and it doesn't feel as hard on fingers.

Just go to an apple store and try one out.
