Assume you can find a discounted 11" 2022 iPad Pro, does it make sense to get the Pro vs the new 2024 iPad Air? Both have the M2 however the Pro has ProMotion while the 2024 Air has a landscape FaceTime camera. What would you choose if you can get both for $599 each?

For the same price, definitely the Ipad Pro M2 (a new one, not refurb though) im sure most people would take the Promotion screen over landscape camera.

I think iPad Air 2024 still has touch ID. The new iPad Air is essentially the 2022 iPad Pro without promotion. If you can find the ipad pro at similar pricing, I would get that one instead.

I had a 2018 iPad Pro 11. It still served its purpose if getting a little old. Then 3-4 weeks ago I managed to bust the screen…

So losing out on any meaningful trade in value but now my need to replace is accelerated.

I’m weighing up finding a deal on a 22 iPad Pro or going for the 24 Air (I have a Magic Keyboard which would work with either)

I do like the new camera orientation, don’t mind too much about losing Face ID (always found it a bit unreliable at night in bed), but my main curiosity is the speaker set up on the Air - going from 4 to 2 even if the 2 in the new Air seem an upgrade over previous airs

M2 iPad Pro. I’m not a fan of the new TouchID sleep/wake button. I find it way pickier than the TouchID Home Button. Absent the Home Button, I find FaceID easier.
