I picked up a new 11” Pro yesterday, and on getting home (where I have a strong 3G signal, but weaker LTE signal), I found that it wasn’t actually activated.
After dealing with Verizon for a couple hours, it eventually became activated, but would only connect to LTE - no 3G, and no option in settings to disable LTE. Last night I got some pages to load via LTE, but today there’s no connection whatsoever, despite showing LTE at two bars.
Verizon has told me to update, which I’m currently doing via WiFi. But I’m highly concerned that there’s no 3G signal at all.
I’ve reset network settings multiple times, have done hard resets, restarts, etc. Verizon is stating it’s activated and should be working, but it clearly isn’t, and completely lacking 3G and options for it is alarming.
For additional reference, I had a 10.5” iPad Pro that had a stable connection all the time, as well as two iPhone XRs that always have either 3 bars of 3G or 2 bars LTE.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Does anyone have suggestions for how to resolve the issue?
