My ipad pro 11” 3rd gen 2021 which i got last Christmas is in need of repair/exchange at an apple store. The opad is in perfect condition looks mint, but the rear camera and flashlight have stopped working. im scheduled to take this in to the apple store, but was wondering if i should wait until december. My thinking is, the apple store might not have any new 2021 models available, and could replace it with the new model announced yesterday. Does anyone have any knowledge of this on past warranty exchanges during model updates. Does apple always make sure they keep plenty of the older models in store for this. Thanks

They will have new models available. It’s the previous generation, not the iPad 3. Does anyone know when they stop replacing them? is it when it‘s declared obsolete? Or vintage? Or earlier?

im not sure i understand your comment. By new models available are you referring to a new ipad pro 11” 2021 or will they just go ahead and replace it with the newly announced 2022 model. I know the only real difference is the M1 upgrade to to M2.

Apple always has old refurbished models available for replacement use. What do you think they do with all those trade in devices they receive? They have replacement iPads from 10 years ago if necessary.

They will have the 2021 iPad Pro available for replacements.
