11 Pro Max iOS14 - Bricked??

Hi all-woke up this morning, opened Instagram, which froze on the loading screen. I quit the app and immediately reopened. The screen went dark and then showed the Apple “spinner” in the middle for a long time. I then force restarted the phone. It’s now been 45 mins and the phone won’t turn back on, just keeps showing the Apple logo now and again. I have a GB appt, but is there anything else to try?

If you have a Mac, you can try putting into DFU mode to restore it.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

You can put your iOS device in recovery mode, then restore it using your computer.

This seems like a forced shutdown caused by low battery percentage or faulty reading. Try leaving it on charger for 30 minutes.
