I have been using an xr for the last 3 months and not so happy with the battery life. I usually unplug it at 7 am and have %20 juice left at 8 pm. Both portability and battery life are important factors for me. Which one dou you recommend? 11 pro or pro max? Is there a big difference between them in battery life? What about the additional weight on the pro max?

Yes and yes. I just switched from the Pro to Pro Max and am definitely getting more battery out of it. With that said, the Pro has great battery too so you can’t go wrong with either in that regard.

It is heavier but proportionate if that makes sense. What it comes down to is if ease of one handed use is a deal breaker for you. I love the bigger screen and that won out for me but it isn’t quite as easy to use.

When you say you have used an XR for the last three months, did you get it new or used, so with a drained battery? If it was new when you got it, your workflow must be too demanding and, indeed, you would need to look at 11 Pro or Pro Max. There are some good battery comparisons on YouTube and Pro Max, obviously, lasts the longest of them all, followed by a smaller 11 Pro. So you will just have to figure out what is more important for you - the lighter weight and portability of 11 Pro vs the longest battery life and chunkiness of 11 Pro Max.

Xr is new and now has %99 battery health. I wonder if 11 pro lasts significantly longer than xr. I mainly use safari, social media and some netflix.

99% is fine if measured with CoconutBattery. The battery health reported in Settings by Apple is grossly overestimated. I had it showing 88% on my old iPhone 7 (after 2 years of full on use), while the value reported by CoconutBattery was 55% and I had a warning that battery needed replacing in the iPhone Settings as well.

You might be using it a lot, though, as all of the stuff you have described rely on the screen being on at all times, which drains the battery, of course.

There’s definitely a difference, just too early to quantify but it i had to guess, I’d say about another hour or two of Screen on Time.

But overall, both devices are going to get you through a normal day without having battery anxiety. That’s why I say go with the screen size you’d like to use the most because initially that’s what will affect your day to day the most.

If you are speaking about battery life, iPhone 11 Pro would be slightly better or on par with your previous XR.

If you are speaking about weight and dimensions, well, that’s a question you and only you can answer.
I think the 11 Pro Max is just too big for me, but that’s just me.

I’d say you’re XR had an issue if it’s already dropped to 99% battery and isn’t lasting past 8pm! Although, you may be using it heavily in which case that explains it, can you post up any battery health screenshots and usage patterns?

I just charged it an hour ago. I am not sure if it gives correct stats

Get the iPhone 11 Pro Max. For me it is the smartphone of 2019.

The battery life of the iPhone 11 Pro is not so great as even the cheaper iPhone 11 outperforms it.
