After installing Monterrey OS 12.6 (21G115) I am experiencing sound interference from the bluetooth of a 16" M1 MacBook Pro. The sound cracks and interrupts on both my EarPods pro and my EarPods original. I am sure it is not the AirPods - both sets work fine with iPhone and iPad.

They also work OK with the MBP if nothing is connected to it.

The MPB is usually in clamshell mode - connected to a T4 Caldigit HUB. There are speakers, 2 monitors, a scanner, a Camera and several drives. When on clamshell mode with everything connected the interference is there. Apple suggested unselecting airplay from the user on share preferences. This was not the solution

Opening the sound preferences and selecting the input tab (regardless of the input selection) stops the interference while the preferences are selected. This further indicates the issue is with the MAC bluetooth module. But this is not practical

This was not a problem before 12.6,

Anyone else? Any suggestions?

It is making using bluetooth sound devices impossible on videoconferencing.

Thanks

Same here. Everything worked fine before 12.6. After this upgrade, the sound on my airpods becomes interference.

Do you have anything connected via wire to your Mac?
Try opening the sound preferences and selecting the input tab (regardless of the input selection) and see if that stops the interference while the preferences are selected. This further indicates the issue is with the MAC bluetooth module.
