12.6.5 update killed HDMI audio

Straight after the 12.6.5 update I have lost HDMI audio output.

There is no option in Audio Midi setup; not in the output, nor in the cogwheel.
There is no option in sound preferences for HDMI anymore; nor by holding OPTION + clicking the sound icon in the taskbar.

Perhaps this could be related to virtual display driver kexts?

How to diagnose this? Where to start? What to even search for to find help, because I keep finding useless threads like this:

What “virtual display driver kexts” are you refering to?
Do you have Soundflower, BlackHole or something similar?

Yes. What should I do? Reinstall those? Uninstall them?

Yes, reinstall the one you were using.
I’ve just noticed that Soundflower was deleted from my Monterey 12.6.5 too. I’ve been using it for ages and it’s the first time this happens.
