I bit the bullet and decided to sell my current iPad Pro 4th Gen and am getting the new 6th Gen 12.9 iPad Pro. Wondering if anyone else has any thoughts to share.

Not the M2… no way.
I’m ‘possibly’ considering upgrading from a 2018 3rd Gen 12.9 to an M1 5th Gen 12.9

To be honest the 2018 model still is sweet. I’ll see what iPadOS 16.1 does to it before considering an upgrade.

Still on my 2nd Gen 12.9 lol. Don’t want to give up Touch ID, headphone port, and convenient thick bezels.

It seems a perfect storm for not upgrading. Both the hardware and the OS are in a holding pattern, getting only very minor tweaks while (presumably) bigger things are in the pipeline. Plus in Europe everything is so expensive right now.

My 2018 Pro has been one of my best ever purchases - but if it died today, I'd either replace it with a much cheaper model to tide me over, or simply wait.

How did it die?

My 5th gen Pro has developed a smudge on the screen that comes and goes. Does not show in a screen capture. New 6th gen arrives tomorrow. Will then take the 5th gen in for service. Glad I paid for Apple Care. :)

Just upgraded my 2020 iPad Pro 12.9 Terabyte Cell version to M1 12.9 2 Terabyte Cell version. Sold my 2020 for $850.00, bought M1 for $1100.00 including tax, brand new from a retailer. Original price for this was $2,399 plus tax last year soooo.. I’m super ecstatic.
