I have it plugged in with an official Apple branded USB-C cable through the Magic Keyboard and while it’s not losing any battery power, it’s stuck at 68% and not going any higher. Any ideas as to why?

But should it be losing battery power when it’s charging? It’s dropped to 66% now.

Also, I’m noticing a problem with my screen. It’s max brightness and then all of a sudden the screen flickers and the brightness level drops even though it’s still maxed out in settings. This isn’t normal, is it?

Was it bought on launch day?
I bought it before launch and it was delivered yesterday from Best Buy. I was busy yesterday evening, so I charged it to 100% and I am trying it now to see if the battery is going to stay full or continue to drain.

So far so good. It’s still at 100% and no battery drain, but I’ve just been browsing and listening to Spotify. I’m going to crank up the brightness and try more extensive tasks now.

It just dropped to 98%. Is there a bigger wattage adapter I could buy to stop this from happening? Because I really loved the convenience of having my Air 4 being plugged in at all times through the Magic Keyboard and staying fully charged. This 20W charger isn’t cutting it.

Just to make sure, that you know that you need to unlock the iPad after 3 hours, so external peripherals like charging cables work.

Why would you need to unlock it? I’m sure a charging cable would still charge the thing even if you didn’t unlock the iPad.

Apple implemented a security option that will disable all devices or cable when connected after 3 hours not being unlocked, this prevents others to crack or copy any information without your consent.
When you connect a cable after 3 hours, it will show a message on screen, that you have to unlock the iPad to use it.
