iPad Pro 12.9 M1 Mini-led screen reliability

Hi all. I am considering a 12.9 M1 with the mini led screen. How has it held up now that it has been on market for a few years?

My 2018 12.9 Pro screen has not held up well, it's delaminating on the sides, causing a slight brown effect.

Hoping the mini led is more reliable for the long term. Appreciate any feedback.

Our M1 12.9 has no issues at all. Great device.

I just traded mine in for the OLED but honestly it was fantastic. In dark rooms with lots of black content surrounding bright content, you can notice the blooming but it’s not the end of the world. The only reason I upgraded really was to get the lighter, larger iPad. All that to say go for it, it’s a fantastic display.

I have had my M1 12.9” since September 2021 and have had absolutely no issues. I’ll be selling it soon but only because I upgraded to the M4. You could probably score a great deal on a used / refurb 12.9” M1 and you will not have any issues. I haven’t heard of there being any major widespread issues with this model.

I have an M1 12.9. Screen looked great but over past few months it developed a slight blue tinge over part of the screen. Only visible when most of display is white, but annoying because I can’t unsee it. I commute with it all the time in my backpack, so might be because of pressure on the screen over a couple of years.

My iPad Pro 2017 and 2018s had such issues, my M1s had no such issues, all 11/10.5s
