Hi everyone

Try to find a second hand MacBook Pro 16 for the wife. She is a data analyst, mainly interact with massive databases, Power BI and Excel.

Here are the 2 models I found

MacBook pro M1 1TB SSD, 16GB over 1 year old, no apple care battery capacity 90% battery cycle 225.$1200

MacBook Pro M2 512GB 16GB apple care till next April, battery capacity 100% battery cycle 3. $1600

Both are in prestine condition. And both have purchase provement. Which one should I go for ?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Microcenter store near you? An Apple certified refurb (1 year apple warranty) is $1500 for a 16 inch M1 Pro with 16/1 tb

What's the scenario for your wife and Power BI? Is she using it solely on the web? If not, you'll have to run Windows in a VM - which means that 16 GB RAM might be a bit of a bottleneck. M1 or M2 isn't going to make much of a difference but if you could find a machine with 32 GB....
