Why would the low-end MacBook Pro have less hard drive space than the Black MacBook? Makes no sense at all.

(Amazon doesn't give an option for 160GB for a 2.2 MacBook Pro)

Because not everyone needs the extra hard drive space and they dropped the model price by £100. For the extra cash over the waste of money Blackbook you get a phenomenally better machine right now.

The price is the same here in the states. Given how hard it is to upgrade the hard drive in a MacBook Pro. I think it's ridiculous that the stock Black MacBook should have more hard drive space than the stock MacBook Pro, even if it is the "low-end" one (it feels weird to call a $2000 computer "low-end").

Because Apple decided it wanted to put a 120gb drive in the new low-end MacBook Pro, that's why.

:apple:

Why? Because Apple is trying to show that that's the bottom of the Macbook pro's because not giving a bigger hard drive makes the lower of the 15in models significantly cheaper than the higher 15in model, so you know instantly which is better, and I guess it also helps show that the blackbook is the elite of the macbooks
