Hi again. I was wondering if a 120GB hard drive would be good for video editing (probably with final cut express) and then store the finished videos on an external hd when the internal hd starts getting filled. Thanks for any advice in advanced =)

thats what I do, except I tend to save everything on the external HD's (I have multiple). external HD are getting ridiculously cheap nowadays and its a good way to stay organized and keep your Mac clean.

Yes, but check pricing. You may find 160Gb is the sweet spot if you're talking about a portable drive.

awesome. would you recommend any good external hd's out there? I was thinking this one...

thanks =)
OWC seems to be the choice of many here, but you should keep an eye out on offering from retail stores such as BestBuy and CircuitCity. they always have External HD's on sale, and a few models such as the Western Digital MyBook and Seagate FreeAgent are some popular and reliable choices. You can usually snag up a 250-320GB HD for less than $100.

another route is to build your own external HD. buy a external HD enclosure and stick in your own HD of choice.
