120GB OWC Mercury Electra 6G OR 115GB OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 3G SSD??

Okay, it's finally time to jump ship to SSD paradise!

Which drive would you get? The 120GB Electra 6G or the 115GB Extreme Pro 3G?

The 6G drive will be throttled down to 3G speeds, but if/when I get a MP with 6G ports then it'll migrate well. They have the same warranty and are pretty much the same price. It seems like a no brainer, but what do you guys think?

Get the 6G for future-proofing. Can't go wrong with that!

That's what I'm going to do! And instead of spending another $80 on the very top model I spent that $80 on another 8GB of RAM for a total of 16GB!

Ocw mercury extreme pro 240gb 6g

Ocw changed their controller in August 2011 to sandforce 2282 with a new Toshiba toggle. I've been using Mercury Pro extreme 6g 240gb in my new 17' MBP and it works beautifully. fast as lightening. Expensive but worth it. 11 second start up to open browser. 5 year warranty.
