planning on getting the jet black 7 plus but not sure which storage size I should get.

Whichever size would work for you for the way you use your device.

64GB is already way more than I need on my iPhone SE, but jet black is only available in 128GB and up. If I was buying an iPhone 7, that's what I'd get.

I can't, I'm getting the jet black and it isn't available in 64gb

Psst...the iPhone 7 and 7 plus don't come in 64GB versions.

Since I'm using either the Apple Upgrade Program or Next, the price difference between 128GB and 256GB is $4/month. Realistically, 64GB would be enough for me, but alas there's either 32GB (too little) or 128GB (too much); and 256GB (WAY too much).

Sorry guys, I mis typed and put the wrong GB down. I originally was only looking for the decisions between the two sizes for the jet black.

Do you have a need fo 256gb of storage? That is half of what my macbook can store and I have windows 10 dual booting. I don't know that I will ever quite NEED something that larger (won't say ever but unless file sizes grow by a factor of ten or something crazy I won't need more for a decade).

I've been told that if I had kids the 256GB drive is the bare minimum I would need to accommodate all the essential photos I would be taking over the next 6 months.

Haha. Well I have a 128 but could do with a 64. I've taken a couple thousand pics this year of my son along with video and still only amount to something like 30 gigs (never delete anything).

I started with an iPhone 1 and migrated all my taken pictures to each subsequent iPhone with some cleanup here and there to today's grand total of 348MB in pictures. I think I could still delete about half of that and maybe 1/8th might be interesting to other people. I think you could scale that same formula to most people's digital photo landfill.

i currently have a 64 6s, 15.9G in use and 39.5G free. and that is taking my 5G downloaded music into account. I have unlimited data so local storage (music/video) isn't that useful for me, and i can offload photos and documents anytime to my personal NAS anywhere on the go.
plus, i have 3 iPads, 128g iPad mini, 128g iPad pro 12.9, and 256g iPad pro 9.7, so there's no point to store much media on my iPhone anyway.

so i'd go with 16g. oh wait, they don't have 16g now, it's 32. even better.

plus it would be much easier to get my hands on, since everyone is going to 128, (or not?)

Thanks for the info! That's exactly what I was thinking but I wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. Every year I get more storage and seem to be using more each year from more apps and better quality photos!

128GB. I have the 128GB 6S Plus and I still have 98GB left. I delete apps that are useless, games I don't play and offload photos to google photos at the end of a vacation.
