Been waiting to purchase a Macbook Pro for some time :D :D

Anyways, I plan on using a 30" LCD with my Macbook Pro for mostly audio work. I see both have dual-DVI. Anyways, is there a significant difference between the two on the 30" screen?

I'm trying to justify the $500 bump from 2.16ghz to 2.33ghz, but if the video option isn't a biggie then I will probably go with the cheaper one. Too bad you can't customize the 2.16ghz MBP to 256mb VRAM.

Basically, more VRAM helps the card deal with higher resolutions, so the answer is yes, the graphics are a very important option, especially if you want to run another, high res monitor.
As far as CPU, I wouldn't bother unless you have the cash. Personally, I would save my money and max the RAM out; that's were you will really feel the difference.

so, rundown:
go with the better graphics
forget the upgraded CPU
load it up with RAM
