All for a cool $24,000 per box no doubt. No way in hell we get 12Gb/s SSD's by end of year as standard Mac Pro kit. Let's pray for 6Gb/s. Tech just does not work like that. They piece meal small incremental improvements only. We still have 2011-2013 to get our hands on. Very few generational leaps. SAS probably wont be the "deal" anyway. SATA will need a new revision first. Apple's GPU's can't even get retina working with too much room to breath. 4K will crush Apple's lack of high performing GPU options and love of "thin" beyond functional design hard-on.

When wondering what technology might end up in the next Mac Pro, one usually only has to look back a year or two. :p

Yeah, it'll be awhile till we see native and capable 4k and 4k3D MacPros IMO. But it does indeed seem to be moving in that general direction.

Except that 12GBit/s has already been made obsolete, by the Micron P320h.

785K IOPS, 3.75GB/s throughput.

Listen to Woz, get rid of intermediate technologies such as SATA and just attach storage as directly as possible. Obviously, it works.

Yup that is pretty much all I can say about that! And "good god man"..
