Just got this today and this is really nice. It's hard leather and looks good open and closed. Very heavy leather. Perfect for out in public to run in a stealth mode. The black straps at the top are not obtrusive at all and the whole Air can just be used as a sleeve cover if you want:

Moreover, they shipped and in 5 days from the Apple site...

I'd say that pretty much takes away the lightness of the air. - Although it looks good I don't think it looks handy, I don't like how those straps are positioned by the screen, I'd be afraid it would disattach itself at some point and then with a hard smack fall to the ground.

it is important to realize not everyone has the same requirements - I don't care at all about the compactness of the air....the book carries icarbon on it for slim protection. My air is on a table during consumer events I run, this is nice for the steath effect.

In that case it is a nice skin. It looks great, makes me think of the 1st Harry Potter movie back when I was 9.
Enjoy.

I wonder why would some1 picked up Air over the MBP if you don't value portability of Air. That cover must add not just to size, but to weight too. Why would you buy laptop with significantly slower processor than MBP for about same price? Just asking...

I actually did this..

The base line MBP has the integrated graphics chip which is worse for 3d rendering than the MBA's 320M. The step up from the integrated graphics costs $1799 and isnt that big of a jump to warrant that high of a price increase. Plus I had an SSD in my old laptop and i cannot look back at a traditional hard drive ever again, adding about $200 into my cost, making the MBP cost about twice as much as my MBA for what i need it.

simple.
