Since I upgraded to 13.2, I have to go to Sounds and Haptics EVERY DAY and move the slider back to the right. At some point in the day, iOS move it back down to about 25%.

I have restarted, power off and back, twice. No help.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I’m having the same issue. I keep mine half way but it turns itself all the way up & I hear my alarm blasting every morning. So annoying.

Seems it likes to default to where you don't want it. I've always kept mine on full volume yet I have to increase it from 50% daily.

Well........... Apple is always throwing something in there I don't know about.

Go to Settings -> Face ID & Passcode

There is a new "feature" with 13.2. Attention Aware Features. If you do not use your phone for a bit, it will automatically dim the display, lower the volume of some alerts, etc.

Thanks Apple. I did not need this.

Apple Support just told me to turn that off to solve the problem. So, we will see how it goes over the rest of the day.

That’s not what that feature does at all, and it’s been there for a long time.

It lowers the volume of alerts and prevents the screen from dimming when you’re looking at your phone......it has nothing to do with how long it’s been since you’ve used your phone.

That’s been there since the iPhone X came out. That has nothing to do with the volume changing on its own.

I'm having a similar but different issue, it randomly sets my blutooth headphones to around 80% max volume when I connect them which is extremely loud almost to the point of causing hearing damage! I've never manually set them that loud and usually keep them around 30%. It's really annoying, for example my media volume might be 20%, then I connect headphones which were at 30% last time I connected them and it jumps to 80% deafening me! It's especially annoying because it only jumps after I press play on my media so it constantly catches me unaware.

I am just stating what Apple Support said.

Again, this is what Apple Support said.

Regardless, I turned that "feature" OFF. Problem solved! That is all that matters to me.
