I saw a thread on the Macbook Pro forum, but nothing here.

I updated to 10.6.7 via Apple's website (from 10.6.6) and my computer is definitely running warmer than it was. Processes appear to be the same it's just overall warmer. Unfortunately I didn't have a temperature gauge of any kind prior to the update, but I will say that I have one now because that's how noticeable the difference was between before and now. My computer would stay cool to the touch just surfing the internet before. Now it's constantly warm. The fans are not kicking in...so it's not getting HOT...but I'm wondering if any other Air owners are experiencing this. There are definitely Pro owners experiencing it.

i noticed my ultimate 11 has been running slightly warmer as well the last few days. i'm not sure if its due to weather (doubtful), running more processes, or 10.6.7... i should test it out in different scenarios and see why its running warmer. if i figure anything out, i'll post it here.

So I guess I'm not crazy. I'm now also seeing a bunch of console errors. I wish I had never found that...that's going to drive me crazy having errors. And I'm clueless on how to fix them.

Download iStat Pro and check your CPU and HD temperature and fans, its quick, easy and free to install

http://www.islayer.com/apps/istatpro/

If the fans are above 2000rpm when the machine is stable (i.e. no apps are open or no programes running in the background) then there is abnormal behaviour with your MBA. Likewise, if temperature is above 80, then I guess it is a hardware fault probably caused by the software update. Mind you, my 13" Air is not having these issues so I don't know honestly whats wrong with yours

hey, try to update your macbook air manually (non-combo update)

6.5 -> 6.6
6.6 -> 6.7

i think there's a problem with this update.. probably..
