Anyone else having an issue with Reminders notifications just being switched off randomly for no reason? I had two reminders that didn't notify today, one time-based and one location-based. I finally went digging into the notification settings to find that low and behold Notifications were turned off for Reminders. I never turned this off!

What possible ghost-like force could be switching off Reminders notifications?

UPDATE:

I turned the Reminders notifications back ON ... I come back to check the settings an hour later, and they're switched off again! I kid you not.

So, now they're back on .... I restarted my phone (just to do a little test), went back into Notifications, and they're off AGAIN.

This has to be a bug (??)

Mine isn't exactly your issue, but all of my reminder notifications stopped working on 13.4 (and 13.4.1 didn't fix it). When I view them, the notifications are turned on, but my phone never notifies me of them. All of mine are time-based.

My reminders were working find before updating to 13.4.1, now my reminders don't show up in notifications even if I have them turned on. Unlike yours that keeps turning off, mine stays on but it still doesn't show up.

I have notifications turned on. On the rare, odd occasion I get a reminder notification but 95% of the time I get none. Just really odd.

I just discovered that if delete an existing reminder and add it back, I get a notification. So clearly, there is a bug in a recent update that messes with the notification of old reminders. Well, only 48 more to delete and add back.

I’ve been having this issue since iOS 13.4. I don’t see a badge for my daily reminder.

However, if I set another reminder, the other badge will show up.

Also, if I got to a reminder list and type anything, hit done, go to home screen then the badge is there.

This happened on my wife’s iPhone. Since turning it back on she still isn’t getting notifications. Just like Mail, it’s a little frustrating to have basic things broken by “updates.”

I'm running 13.4.1 and recently my audible notifications for my reminders have stopped. I have daily and weekly reminders and it seems that with the recent updates I have stopped receiving audible notifications. I've googled all the solutions on the internet to check my volume settings, my notification settings etc. To no avail. I've read the suggestion above and deleted a couple of reminders and set them up again to see if that helps.

Same thing happened to me . I fixed it by turning off and then back on Reminders in iCloud . Rebooted both devices after turning it back on again . HTH

In the past I have seen an iOS device get corrupted somehow in that a certain notification sound (Mail, I think) just wouldn't work. When I restored the device as new the sounds started working. When I restored from a backup it stopped working again. This persisted through an iOS version update.
