Would you buy a higher res 13" macbook air? I'd quite like to see a 1600x1050 screen, even if it's a build to order option. I've also noticed the new 15" Dell 15z laptop has a pretty sweet 1920x1080 screen which suggests that a 1600x screen is technically and economically feasible.

I've also noticed in MBA history (I know there isn't a lot of history!) that there is no option for a higher res screen. Why do you, the community, think that is? Is it because it puts more strain on the graphics card that Apple don't want to see the MBA negatively benchmarked against other laptops?

My Sony Z (13.1in) is 1600x900... I'd like to see at least this resolution. But I doubt it'll change (besides, 1440x900 is only an extra 80 pixels on each side... but it can make a noticeable difference).

The higher the better in my opinion xP

The Macbook Air 13" already has a higher resolution than the Macbook Pro 13." I'm really happy with the resolution on the air. That being said, I would consider the high res version (I have really good vision).

However, I did have a 15" Dell Laptop with 1920x1080 laptop (or so) and while I could see it fine, everyone else had trouble reading it. I would not buy that configuration again.

Even the 17" Macbook Pro's hi-res display is a bit small (although I really liked it).

The 13" Macbook Air is close to perfection...my favorite notebook so far, and I've owned a Black Macbook, Macbook Pro 13" Macbook Pro 15" Macbook Pro 17"...so that's saying a lot. :D
