Hey!

I just bought my very first 13'' macbook and I LOVE IT!!!!!
The only thing I need now is a case for it....

I'm looking for something that will fit perfectly, light but durable, mostly I will put my mac inside another bag that I carry around so a sleeve would probably be best......maby one that has an option to carry by itself incase I want to carry just the mac.... possibly with extra zippers to put stuff in, and ofcourse it has to look sleek;)

Any ideas?????

Thanks!

I've been using the Marware Sportfolio 13" since I bought my MB last September. It's thinly padded, like most other sleeves, but also has a plastic inner frame, which I find lacking in other brands. Because it's thin enough to use as a sleeve, I put it inside my messenger bag with my other papers, files, equipment, etc. However, it also has a handle, a shoulder strap, and some external pockets, so it also serves well as a stand-alone bag.

Main reason why I purchased it: I used the Marware Sportfolio II for my iBook G4 for three years. About a year ago, a friend played a prank on me, which accidentally resulted in dropping my iBook (inside its Sportfolio) four vertical feet onto a concrete ground. The Sportfolio got a small tear on the outside, but my iBook survived without a scratch. That was enough to convince me to buy another Sportfolio when I obtained my MB.

Here's a link to the Marware site.

Hope that helps.

For max protection, there really isn't anything better than a Shinza Zeroshock. I've owned three of these (12" iBook, 13.3" MacBook, and a 12" X60s [ThinkPad]) and recommend them VERY highly. I'll never carry another laptop around without one.

I second the Sportfolio bag/sleeve. I use it still for my iBook and I've convinced a few other people to get it for their macs.

I went to the link (nice bag, by the way) and saw the below:

Code:
FEATURES:

    * Large secure interior pocket for business essentials
    * Plastic inserts and edge padding for maximum protection
    * Easy-grip bottom for carrying as a folio
    * Roomy exterior pockets
    * Rugged neoprene outer construction
    * Dual, lined zippers for easy opening
    * Comfortable carrying handles
    * Temporarily out of stock.

"Temporarily out of stock" is a feature? LOL.

I use the Incase Nylon Sleeve for 13-inch MacBook (Black). Works great for me. It is really thin, has an inside pocket I use for the remote and has a removable strap. I found mine at CompUSA for five dollars less than they have it at the Apple store.

incase bag

I love the incase bag but some people said it left gray marks on their white macbook so that's not a good thing...too bad I like this bag:(

any thing else like it that doesn't stain the macbook????
thanks:)

Yeah, I heard the dye from the red Incase came off on white Macbooks too. Eep!
