Hello,

My recently acquired 13" TB MBP 2017 doesn't sit flat, e.g., 1 out of 4 of its bottom case bumps hangs in the air slightly. This is annoying when raising/moving my hand from the palm rest area. I've tested it on many different surfaces and is always present, so definitely the computer.

Is this a known issue with these MBPs or did I just get a dud?

This happens with the newest MbPs a bit. You can place it on a flat surface and press on opposite corners with the display open to fix it. I owned multiple 13" that did the same thing.

Have you noticed any changes in the way the trackpad feels?
Have you already verified that the bottom cover is completely screwed into the frame?

Unbelievable. What happened to Apple quality?

I doubt it will be the case for the OP since the laptop is relatively new, but rattling can be a sign of battery swelling as well.
