13' Macbook Ultimate 256GB 4GBRam from Mac of all trades

Hey guys I sold my 13' base model on Wednesday because I wanted to upgrade and make my Mac somewhat future proof. After a little searching I was able to find a 13' Ultimate upgraded with max specs for $1500 on Mac of all Trades.
I'm a first time poster but not a newbie to the site. Has anyone else bought anything from Macofalltrades?? Just curious as it seemed to be legit and was featured on numerous sites including Macworld. I'm not worried more curious as to some of your experiences with the quality. Btw is is listed as Excellent condition aka "used" with all accessories.

I sold mine on Amazon. I was weary of making a sale that high on craigslist and didn't want to use eBay for personal reasons. I took only about a week until someone purchased it. I actually loved the machine didn't have any performance issues. My only reason for selling was that I wanted to have a larger HD. 128 is fine for most but I like having the option of spare space. Of course 4gbs doesn't hurt either. This machine replaced my 13' Macbook pro. In my opinion the 13' Air made my less than two year old macbook pro feel ancient in every-way.

Just recieved my Ultilmate 13'' today!!!!

So my Macbook Air came today. Its the 2.13GHZ 4GB RAM 256 GB SSD model. I got it at a great deal of $1599 and no tax for a savings of $200. They even threw in a new battery. These guys are awesome to say the least.

I recently ran Geek Bench on my base model and it had a score of 2695.
My Ultimate came out at 3365 which is about a 25% improvement.

I'll give it some more real world tests when I get home later on tonight.

I also wonder how buying now is future proofing? I guess in the sense of RAM?

I think the Summer updates, if true, will bring 4/8 GB RAM just as other Macs. I also believe the backlit keyboard reappears. One also needs to consider or hope that Sandy Bridget's IGP isn't used. What if it gets a discrete AMD with i-series or even AMD CPU/GPU pairing?

In my mind, I see the current MBA as a starting point for all future MacBooks. If that is the case, big advantages can still be had. Sure 4GB of RAM is nice but 2GB is fine for Snow Leopard. I would think waiting for Summer could have brought more future proofing.

We could see IPS and 3D displays, more RAM, and possibly a much better CPU GPU combo. If the update brings Sandy Bridge with sole use of its own IGP, then we're probably better off with C2D and Nvidia. I am not convinced Apple would stick us with Intel's inferior graphics. I am hopeful for more! I hope to want to upgrade this Summer but at the rate we are going even MBPs only get one update annually.

Seems a bit late to chime in, but I bought my Air from Mac of All Trades near the end of 2009, and got a perfect machine at a brilliant price. Only downside is that I live about 30 minutes away from where they are located (Tampa) and they don't allow pickups, so I still had to pay for shipping :|

For someone who advocated the "4GB RAM 256SSD" prior to these new airs coming out, I'm surprised your subtle down play of the current models.

I have the "ultimate" 13" Air as my primary, and this thing just doesn't lag. Mind you all I'm doing is web development at the moment, but I will eventually do some HD video editing and put it through its paces in iMovie and Final Cut Express (Not Pro).

The current Airs (well at least the ultimate version) are simply amazing! As I type, my battery life reads 7hrs and 12min! and i've been unplugged for about 2hrs now. Check out My home screen. I would say the current Airs can be a jack of all trades.... most people on OS X don't even know how to use all the tools the OS has.... Same goes with the iWork suite iLife suite and Pro Apps, nobody educates themselves as to how to work and utilize EVERYTHING the OS in Snow Leopard has.....This OS ON THIS HARDWARE IS SUPERB
