My 13" MBA finally arrive today and the first thing I noticed is that the screen's pixels are rather noticable. Compared with my 15 in Macbook Pro, the dock seems more "griddy" rather than smooth. I doubt it's significant enough to make me return this comp, as I absolute love it, but it's just something slightly bothersome, until I get use to the new look. How do you guys feel about the pixel count?

Ultimately the 15" uses a higher quality screen! Even with its lower pixel density. Put it this way,the new mba screen is a step up from the last! Higher density, more saturated, (Line Free!) but the same TN type panel. (Not great viewing angles and colour banding because it shows much less colour garment than the 15").

I did notice the viewing angles are much lower with this machine, but the lines are really noticable compared with the MBP at the bottom of the screen. I shrink my dock and everything looks jagged. Perhaps thats just something I need to get use to.

Post the display model if you want to get help all. There are multiple displays made for the 13.3" MBP, likely from different companies. You can find the info under System Preferences.

The displays I have seen all look amazing compared to the former MBA displays. I haven't seen this, so maybe you got a bad one???

I was turned off by the iPad screen when I looked at one in an Apple store. It was very grainy and I couldn't imagine reading a book on one. Then a friend of mine got one and his screen was totally different. Apple does by their screens from a couple of different vendors and there may be a difference from model to model as to how they look.
