Hi all,

I just bought a new unibody 13" macbook pro.

Right after reinstalling 10.6 I drained the battery all the way and then charged it all the way back to 100% and now its still on ac power.

What is the best way to conserve my battery life? I take it to classes and discharge it there and recharge it at home. Is that really the best thing I can do?

I know leaving it plugged in too much is bad, but if i keep charging/discharging it is that bad too? (charge cycles)

Thanks in advance.

Apple on line support has hints about battery preservation.
In any case, a laptop is supposed to be used as charging-discharging unit.
Draining battery is inevitable. As far as I understand, it's quite important to keep the battery calibrated, maybe once each month.
