When Apple rebranded the 13" Macbook as an MBP, did they also upgrade the screen? The MBP displays have always had MUCH better black levels, contrast, and viewing angles than the inexpensive MB screen.

Just wondering if they're still using the crappy old MB screen, now that it's called a "Pro".

Actually, IIRC, the screens got a silent upgradw while it was still the MB. But, in short, yes the screens on the 13" MBP are much better than the initial run of unibody MB's.

It's better but it still needs work.
There may be some color calibration that can help you dial it in.

Viewing angle is better on the MBP. Especially on the vertical. Both are good, but MBP has the edge.

Yes they were upgraded. My MBP screen is quite vivid. Especially compared to my girlfriend's whitebook. And my friends uMB.
