1333mhz RAM showing 1066mhz?

Hey guys,

I was going to wait until my new CPU comes to reset the PRAM but I tried it just there but the ram is still at 1066mhz?

Can someone please give me some help to how I can go about getting the RAM to 1333mhz as the RAM does support it. Cheers.

Just doing some reading..came across something..is it true that the CPU has to support this RAM speed?

If so, will my W3680 coming this week support that?

Yes the speed of your RAM is dependent on the CPU. If you have a 2.8 quad, then you are stuck with 1066 mhz. If you upgrade to the W3680, then you will be able to run at 1333.
