Hi

Battery life on my iPhone SE is so poor now in 14.5.1 ! (it started with 14.5)

Thought it had to do with the battery, installed a new but problem still is there ... Battery health 100% now

Turned everything off and in airplane mode it uses 40% overnight

If I power off the phone it uses 25% overnight. (with the old battery too)

in 14.4.2 the phone lost 1-2% overnight with the old battery when powered off ...

Did a factory reset with a new 14.5.1 ... same **** !

The phone is pretty unusable now !

Anyone got a clue what Apple been doing ? and how to fix it ?

If I could I would downgrade it to 14.4 :)

May not be an actual issue with the battery, and more how the phone is actually getting readings for how much is being used.

^^^This.

Was the battery an Apple replacement or 3rd party? Have seen misleading values from 3rd part batteries in the past.

Latest iOS, only seeing about 1% loss/hr overnight.

Both, Apple original and third p. and they tell the same values.

Yes, but the issue could be with the hardware in your phone that is detecting the values. I've had my phone alternate between only 1% drain every 2 hours, and 3 in an hour, on the same version of the OS, with no usage and the same settings and apps open. I've also had it sit on the same percentage for over 10 hours despite usage. I just don't think iPhone's are particularly good with calculations of remaining battery.

Wait and see… on my iPhone 7 there was a period of a day or two where the phone was doing stuff in the background, and eventually it went away, now my phone is back to using 4-5% overnight if I’m not charging.

OK
But if I leave my phone powerd off for about 4 days, charge symbol (bat empty) (bef 14.5 it lasted a month)
If I leave it idle with airplane mode and no apps, bg turned off, wifi off ...etc, it lasts 2-3 days before charge symbol (bat empty)

Maybe the update to 14.5 burned some hardware, phone was like HOT ! (happned a lot with iphones 10y ago)

Still have the standard 2 year warranty, but Apple takes months to repair it ... I heard ...

Bought an M1 mac that was broke at delivery, took a month to get a new one :(

OK

Had the phone on for a week with 3 full charges, sadly no change ... idle with airplane mode and no apps, bg turned off, wifi off ...etc

Mabye the 14.5 burned some hardware, it was HOT (known to happen on iphones)

Will see with 14.6 if it fixes it
