Just went up to the librarian at my public library to ask whether the library has new routers, as since Monday, when I updated my 2023 16-inch MacBook Pro (Wireless (0x14E4, 0x4388)), I have been having internet connectivity problems such as the computer not rejoining known network after sleep, the computer refusing to connect even when I try to do it manually with or without deleting the known network, and even once or so refusing to connect even after I restarted computer and cleaned out everything. I also should add that this has happened this past week at more than just the library. It just happens I have spent a larger amount of time than normal at that particular library this past week and I thought a good starting place would be to see if the library was using a newer router or protocol that also I might have been encountering elsewhere too. What do you know, my librarian said, "No, we have no new routers, but I have been dealing with 'finicky internet connections' ever since I did my IOS update on my phone." She added, "Apple never tells you when they install some new security protocol through an update." I said, "Well, I have a genius appointment tomorrow and I am sure they will dance around any purported software issues. Apple is not what it was even five years ago." I am betting some Mac "geniuses" coded a bug into the new update. Any others out there with same issues? Suggestions?
