I got a beta of 14.7 release 5 (IIRC) and now my phone isn't making any alert noises. Not here to complain, I know it's a beta for a reason.

How is the 15 public beta going? Does the ringer currently ring?

I'm on an iPhone X, I assume battery life and compatibly with apps are the biggest negatives.

iOS 15 has been incredibly stable considering how early in the beta phase we are. Lots to read over in the iOS 15 forum but unless you depend on your phone for work or other essential functions I have no problem giving it my stamp of approval. I've had no app compatibility issues and yes, my phone rings if it's not on silent.

The one thing I would state in regards to 14.7 beta 5 is that the battery life is better. I did not have many issues with 15 beta 2 but the overall battery drain while the phone was in use was greater. Standby time was good on 15 beta 2.

I appreciate the responses, I don't deserve them :)

Man I love checking out the new betas, but I hates when I get stuck with something that bugs me and I have nobody else to blame!

Just for chit chat, right now the ipadOS 15 beta isn't playing sound from Plex and I'm pretty sure Safari. I guess they are fiddling with the sound system under the hood. Youtube is fine.

iOS 15 PB 2 is running as smooth as 🧈😋🤤

Beta 3 is going to feel like you’re wearing a silk shirt 24/7 👔😜

That's the dream! I try to keep my hopes in check though as there's usually at least a couple of rough patches when it comes to the beta life.

Right, I was just going to say, I've had years where early patches were great, but then they fiddle with stuff mid-beta and there can be hard times (cue the blues harmonica)
