I ordered a MBP a couple of days ago, and it says that it takes 5 - 7 days for them to ship it out. Ground shipping takes about 7 - 9 days so that's a total of 12 to 16 days. If that was true then it means that I will receive it in about 14 days, does that mean that if I find a defect by then it will probably be too late for exchange/return? Or is the 14 days policy from the day of shipping?

Is it a custom BTO MBP? If not, you might be able to return it to an Apple retail store when you receive it.

Otherwise, you'd have to ship it back. I imagine you have to sign for it, so it's 14 days from that. If you want to send it back to Apple, I'm sure they don't have to receive it within the 14 days, just ship it back before the 14th.

I think it says it's custom built on the order page, but it's just the glossy-ness. Other than that it's all default.

It's 14 days from when I receive it? That would be sweet.

It's gotta be. If for some reason it is not, that would make no sense to me. If you have any doubt, just call Apple up and ask.
