Considering the 48GB RAM M4 Pro chip on a 14-inch MBP. Between the 26 core gpu and 20 core gpu is anyone aware of battery differences? I've heard the 14 inch in the past had a tough time on battery with the Max variant. Thank you!
Oh and also, doesn't the M4 itself have a longer last battery than the M3? So even if the M4 has less efficiency cores do they even out at all purely due to the underlying battery? Thanks all

you have to factor the M4 also has higher clock speeds than M3. and the M4 has more performance cores [Pro chip wise, not counting base or MAX] - this alone would slightly negate the efficiency claims as it drive much more power through.
While I won't say my M4 Max MBP isn't the ultra silent Mac [that title goes to Mac Studio which just... got announced RIP]. it's only has temp/fans ramp up during export.
Personally from my experience even the base M4 Pro chip does fine esp in the 14". won't notice much diff in the extra cores. If anything the 14c20g variant of the M4 Pro would cause battery to dip quicker for a very marginal gain.
Now if one was picking the 16" it's automatic by default it's the higher end chip model of the two.
