Hi Folks!

I am now using my MacBook Pro M1 Max for editing photos and videos with external 27" monitor and I am very happy with this setup.

Except one thing: I am now using a good old 27" Eizo Flexscan, but I realised that it is possible to charge the attached laptop while working with newer Eizos, like EV2785, which would be very handy:

However, all Eizo models USB-C output is 60 Watts and Apple says that the power supply for 14" or 16" should be 67 Watts.

So what do You think; is it possible to charge the MacBook from Eizo?

Yes, it will charge just slightly slower and, if you are pushing the system hard for a long period of time, you may see the battery discharge even while plugged in. This won't harm anything.

How did you end up setting your desk with the Eizo monitor? Thinking about getting one myself for my office.

Just ordered a used Eizo EV2785 that should provide 60W charging via USB-C. Looking forward to a great screen, one-cable setup and 4K 27". Just need to live without an Ethernet port for the time being.
